Badass Derby Soundtrack

Dear awesome peeps,

WCR is currently debating what its 2010 season song should be (aka the song we all skate out to when they announce the entire league).  Last year’s song was “Move” by Ludacris, then it was brought to our attention that there was adult language in the song, so we started skating out to the radio edit of this song.  It has further been argued that this song isn’t really a great, woman-empowerment ditty and it’s time for a change anyways.

Any suggestions for songs???  Something high energy, bad ass, not TOO misogynistic…  Some have also argued that it should be a Chicago band or have free ASCAP rights, but those would just be a bonus.  Also, we are thinking more rock/punk than hippity hoppity.

Let me know what would get you pumped for some derby action so I can add my 2 cents to the debate.  It think they are trying to compile a list by 10/16/09.
