Oldies but essentials
JJ and I were talking about some great old albums last night that we hadn’t discovered until our later years. As music savvy as we are all, there are definitely things that have slipped through our nets. List some older albums you still very much enjoy here (and I am not talking Beatles White Album or Bowie Ziggy Stardust)
Here are some of the ones I talked to JJ about last night;
Modern Lovers – Modern Lovers; could have come out last month and still be a hit
Sam Cooke – One night stand: Live at the Harlem Square Club : if I had a time machine I would go back and attend this show.
Wire – Pink Flag : what I always imagined punk should sound like.
