Food Thread Hijacked by Lolla/Pfork

By popular demand! The DrinkingSoundtrack Restaurant Thread! Know of a great place that everyone (especially Tom, who is bored with food, and that ain’t right) must know about? Then talk about it here. I’ll start:

So Gong Dong Tofu House is at 3307 W. Bryn Mawr. We came here by accident, intending to hit the Japanese restaurant (called Midori) across the street, but on a whim decided that hot Korean food would be better than cold sushi…and it was a correct decision. There were the traditional small plates of appetizers, and all were tasty, probably because none of them had mystery fish in them. The hot stone pot Bi Bim Bop was excellent, and the Bulgogi was tender and didn’t suffer from the stringiness that sometimes afflicts Bulgogi. The best part: Dinner for 2 was under 20 bucks, and it served as an excellent base to drink upon.
