To update my earlier post in this thread: This band called High Places is playing on the 20th at the AV-aerie in support of Ladyfest. I saw them open for the Blow and were really weird in a good way. Come on out!

I went and saw The Blow on Monday and she was pretty terrible. However, the openers Videohippos and High Places were both really fantastic. Highly recommended. I’m going to see Beruit tonight, if any of ya’ll will be out there text me up (773-991-1091).

I didn’t get to go on my originally planned Vancouver trip last summer, so if you cats do do that, I’d be interested.

Black Mountain sounded so good. The sound was intense and the best I’ve heard at the bottle in awhile. They rocked so hard that I didn’t even mind the dirty hippies all around me.

Oh, and they said that we beat Denver as the best audience of the tour so far.
