A side note: while Paul's Boutique was technically released in 1989, I listened to and obsessed over it during the 90s more than any other album on this list. So it must be given an honorable mention for my most beloved album of the decade.

This is sort of a hybrid of what I listened to compulsively back then and can still obsess over now.

1. Jeff Buckley - Grace
2. Radiohead - The Bends/Ok Computer
3. Wu-Tang Clan - WT Forever
4. Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
5. Outkast - Aquemini
6. Neutral MIlk Hotel - Aeroplane Over the Sea
7. Weezer - Blue Album/Pinkerton
Runners Up: Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Maurauders, Beastie Boys - Check your Head and Bush -Sixteen Stone (I know, I know).

This list looks a lot different from today's perspective versus how I would have ranked them back in the 1990s. So, I'll do both.

How I would have ranked them in 1999:

1. Tool - Undertow
2. Nirvana - Bleach
3. Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
4. Orb - Orbus Terrarum
5. Menthol - Menthol
6. Compulsion - Comforter
7. Everclear - World of Noise
8. Solitude Aeternus - Into the Depths of Sorrow
9. Radiohead - OK Computer
10. Weezer - Blue Album

Today:

1. Radiohead - OK Computer
2. Weezer - Pinkerton
3. I don't ever listen to any of the others in the list above anymore. Not that I don't like them, but like Tom said, I just don't want to hear them again. I occasionally will pull out some old Green Day now and again. So, maybe that's my #3.

i have siamese dream at number 6 as well...but i find nevermind to be unlistenable at this point...soundgarden and maybe the screaming trees are the only bands from the seattle grunge scene to not get skipped when they come up on my itunes shuffle. nervermind is still an important and great record, don't get me wrong, but i never want to hear it again.

but yeah, good list otherwise.
