So kids, it has been 2 weeks since we left Denver and the holidays are officially over. We now have time to nitpick and be petty about things like $. I know I owe a few of you, and I am prepared to know the damage.

I will tell you right now, if June rolls around and I still haven’t heard from you…you aren’t getting your money.

So the hard task of creating the post is over, please commence in hounding me for money.

The Rental Car was $655.97 & gas was 44.75 = 700.72
That works out to 87.59 per person.

Joe – I will just subtract that from what I owe you to make it easier if that is okay with you.

JJ – The ski rental was 59.90.

Heyyyy, the cabin worked out like this:

$ 698.00 Rental Amount = 2 nights at $349.00 per night
$100.00 Cleaning Fee
$ 71.02 State/County/Town Tax (8.9%)

$ 869.02 Total Charges/Fees

Which works out to like $108.ep, or $54.ra a night. Y’all could paypal me at joem@freelancedesign.biz, mail a check to 334 W. 12th Ave. / Denver CO 80204, or provide sweet humpage next time I’m in Chicago…

By: jj - What happened to the 'I'm listening to this' crap? Tom turned me onto the new Islands. The second half of the album is good in an old destroyer sort of way. The first half is more poppy, but still good. Also - the new Spiritualized is lovey-dovey-druggy good.

Here's a couple reviews: http://www.austinsound.net/2008/08/14/sunset-the-glowing-city-autobus/ http://tinymixtapes.com/Sunset,6667 It's hard to compare it to anything, it has a bit of a Bowie/Kinks vibe, and whoever plays guitar definitely steals a few tricks from Jonny Greenwood, but it's really jammed with tons of engaging and multi-faceted parts and hooks galore. It's long, but there's not much wasted movement or repetition. It's exactly what a rock record should be, and will probably be my #1 at the end of the year.
